Naked Basics palette by Urban Decay | Review + swatches

I finally did it. For the longest time I didn't want to buy this palette cause I have the original Naked and the Naked 2 and I didn't think I needed it (which I probably don't anyway lol), but after seeing everyone get it and fall in love with it I had to.
As some of you may know, it comes with six neutral eyeshadows, five of them being matte. It's also pretty small so it's perfect for travelling and, surprisingly, you can create a lot of different looks with it.

The packaging is gorgeous as you can see; it feels very expensive and nice. Like I said, it's also pretty compact and small and it uses space wisely (it doesn't have many empty space to make it bulkier).

The shadows are amazing and different enough from each other and from the other Naked palettes (except foxy, which also came in the Naked 2). Venus is the only shimmery color, the rest are matte.

Since I couldn't capture the colors in the light/way I wanted to, here are two different photos so you can judge for yourself.

Overall, I recommend this palette to all of you, specially if you like wearing neutral colors and/or don't have many other; but even if you do you're going to enjoy it. Urban Decay eyeshadows are great quality, so it's no surprise everyones loves this palette as much as I do.

April 2012 Favorites!

Today, I'm going to show you all the products that I've been using a lot this month, and that's why they're my april favorites :)
I'm sorry I'm posting this on may 3rd, but I was out of town for a few days and got home yesterday (some of you probably already knew that).
So yeah, let's go into it and like I did last month, I'm going to divide it into sections:

MAKE UP:

1. Make Up For Ever HD Foundation: This is seriously my favorite foundation of all time. It's great on my skin and also the color matched me perfectly I would say (I'm in the color 117, if you were wondering). I might do a separate post to review it and let you know all about it since it's a little bit pricey (it cost me 38€ at Sephora) and I like to read reviews before buying something that expensive. But overall, it's pretty amazing.
2: Milani Illuminating Face Powder in "Beauty's touch": I use this as a blush since it's very pink and I think it's really pretty. Also the packaging is very eye catching.
3: NYX Lipgloss in "Cosmo": it looks kind of brown right there but when you put in on your lips it gives them a great color and it also has a lot of shimmer/glitter to it; but I love it.

SKIN/ HAIR CARE:
4: Elf Cucumber-Melon body lotion: this is very inexpensive and smells amazing. It's a really fresh lotion that doesn't leave oil on your skin and absorbs sort of fast. I have sensitive skin and I didn't have any problem with this, so that's a plus.
5: Sephora Waterproof eye makeup remover: I only wear waterproof mascara and this just removes it in a second. I apply just a little bit of it on a cotton pad and swipe it across my eye. It works wonders and it was only 3€. You can also get a bigger bottle for 10€, I believe.
6: L'Oreal Elnett hairspray: I only use this hairspray and even though it's not what it claims to be, it's still amazing and I love the smell of it too.
7: Yes To Tomatoes facial wash: this is my 2nd favorite discovery after the foundation. It's made for combination/oily skin and it leaves my face fresh. I use it twice a day and it doesn't break me out of anything,  so I recommend it to all of you.

I'm sorry this was a little bit short but I really didn't try that many things out this month. I'll try to get new stuff this month and I'll hopefully have some new favorites in a month :)

Also, please check out my favorites YouTube video if you have the time:

Weekly photos #3

I'm so sorry I'm posting this on a Monday and not Sunday, as I usually do. I'm out of town for a few days since we have a national holiday next to a autonomous community (which is kind of like a state), and we just went away to the town where my mom was born since we have a house here too.

The weather is the worst (it's raining all the time, non-stop), so I haven't been able to do much yet, but I'm hoping we can go to a few places around here and I can take some nice photos to show to you all.

1. My sister and I decided to eat lemons just like that and see who made the worst face after. She claimed she loved lemons and when she tried it, her face was hilarious. I wish I had taken a picture of that instead haha.
2. That's my cat, but I say she's my baby. I love her so much and she's been just laying around this house, exploring it like a crazy cat. I mean, this house is a 3-story house which is huge for her since we live on a flat/apartment type of house (although it's not small).
3. I finally decided to get the Make Up For Ever HD Foundation and I've been loving it. I think it's worth the money: it was 38€.
4. I love strawberries and my father's been buying them a lot, so I'm happy about that.

5. My father also gathered some flowers the other day on this place close to our house here, since this is a small town and has country side around it.
6. That's my cat again, on the kitchen window, looking to the patio we have here.
7 - 8. These are some pictures taken in Madrid, where I usually live. I love the center of the city (where I went to Sephora was close to those buildings) and I feel like it's a unique city that most of you probably haven't seen before. Also, I feel very proud to live where I live although I want to move to the states, and I like showing you all some parts of this beautiful city :)
