Fashion Books: The Little Dictionary of Fashion by Christian Dior

I started this series a while back when I did the post on Influence by Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen and, for some reason, never continued...until now.

Today I want to show you something that might not be as known but it's still a great book to read if you're into fashion; it is The Little Dictionary of Fashion by Christian Dior.

As the name of it says, it contains words related to the fashion world displayed in alphabetical order. Each word or item contains either a description, explanation or comment. Some words that are included are: brocade, afternoon frock, fringe, lace, jewelry...

Some pages also contain very nice drawings and/or pictures that help you get a better idea of the whole book.

In my opinion it has a very classy and vintage look to it and it makes me feel like I'm reading something from the past. I think this concept is what they're going for, as well as something really feminine. It's all written in black and pink and all pictures/drawings are in black and white; those three are the only colors you're going to find in the book.

Overall, this book is fun and interesting to read and I have definitely learned some new things. Also, I think it was around $20 and I got it on Shopbop.com but I'm sure you'll be able to find it somewhere else.

xoxo
