NARS Digital Worl Lip Coffret | Review and swatches

I'm probably the last person on Earth (maybe just the blogging world) to post about the NARS Digital World Lip Coffret, but I really like it and wanted to share it with all of you.
I bought it back in November/December when I went to the Amelia Liana meet up at Space NK. I knew I wanted to buy it and got my hands on it as soon as I got there, and I'm so happy I did it!
Although most of the colors are not every day material, I love wearing them when I get the chance to. I had never tried NARS lip pencils before then (or maybe I had just gotten my first one, not quite sure) but I was very impressed with them.

They're all creamy but stay on your lips for a while. 'Cruella' is a matte shade and, although it dries my lips a little, I've gotten compliments on it every time I've worn it. It's a winner shade!
My second favorite is 'Descanso', which is a perfect nude for my lips! I wear it to work all the time and it's a very easy shade to wear if you're going to be eating/drinking and are going to have to re touch and might not have a propper mirror.

I have tried the other shades but haven't worn them out yet, I'm just waiting for the perfect time to do so, I guess! 'Yu' is a bright fuchsia, which will be nice when spring/summer comes around; and the same goes for 'Iberico', I don't think I could pull it off this time of the year.

I'm not totally convinced about 'Torres del Paine' yet: it looks a bit weird on my lips, maybe because I have such a fair skintone and it washes them out quite a lot. I will try again with different makeup looks until I find something that works, because the color itself is beautiful.

I don't know if you can still get the set as is (which was £32), but I know some of the shades are sold individually, so it's worth checking it out.

Did you buy the set? If so, which is your favorite shade?

Lucia.

Nail of the day - Gold and red

It's almost December and that means Christmas is around the corner, so I wanted to do something festive with my nails. I'm not good at nail art, so I thought I'd just do an accent nail.

I chose Essie's Headmistress and OPI's Goldeneye (from the James Bond collection) for that one accent nail, this is what it looks like:

I applied 2 coats of each nail polish. As you can see, the Essie one is completely opaque but the OPI one could have used another coat because it's a glitter nail polish on a clear base (although it's thicker than most glitter polishes)

I really like the combination of these two colors and I think it's perfect for the holidays.

Nail of the day - Live and let die

I recently got 2 nail polishes from OPI's James Bond collection and this is one of them. It's called Live And Let Die (since all of them have names from the movies) and I'd describe it as a dark base, which I see as a mixture of navy, green and grey, with tons of fine green and gold glitter.

and, you know what's amazing about it? ...I only applied ONE coat of the nail polish!! It's crazy how creamy and opaque this nail polish is. Obviously, it starts chipping earlier if you only do 1 coat, but still, it has lasted around 4 days perfectly.

Did you get any nail polishes from this James Bond collection? Did you like them? Let me know :)

Nail of the day - Raven Red

I have yet another nail of the day post today. This time it is Raven Red by Revlon, and this is also a great color for the fall and winter time. It's a deep red color, so it's not very original but it's nice to have a color (or a few) like this in your nail polish collection.

These photos have been taken under natural light and I applied 2 coats of the nail polish. It's very creamy and it doesn't chip easy (at least that's my experience).

xoxo

ps: I'm not having a lot of posts up because I had photos ready in one of my memory cards and I lost it, so I have to retake them and I'm busy with college and everything, but I'm catching up so there will be more posts up soon :)

Wishlist | Tory Burch

I've been eyeing these things for a while even though they're pretty expensive. For now, I'm saving to buy the bag, but after I get it I don't know if I'll try to save for any of the others.

Tory Burch wishlist

1. City Satchel - 360.42€ / $450 - I think this bag is very cute, simple and classic at the same time; that's why I don't mind spending that much money on it, because I know it's going to last a very long time and it's (pretty much) always going to be on trend.

2. Rings bracelet - 132.15€ / $165 - I don't know why I like this, but recently I've been loving bulky and chunky jewelry.

3. Parker Cap Toe logo flats - 200.23€ / $250 - I think these are very pretty and perfect for fall and winter. I really want a pair of Tory Burch flats, so these ones might be it.

4. Robinson zip coin case - 76.09€ / $95 - This is a very classy wallet, something that you're going to like for a long time and you're not going to get tired of.

Do you like Tory Burch?

Outfit of the day - when is spring going to come?

I'm really tired of bad and cold weather, and I see most of you already wearing bright colors and all these spring trends that I can't wear yet. I'm not going to lie, I'm kind of jealous but I hope the weather changes soon enough.
So today I'm posting this outfit of the day because I really liked it, and even though it's really simple, I find it cute and comfy at the same time.

Top - Forever 21
Tank top - Zara
Leggings - H&M
Boots - Stradivarius

Like I said, it's really simple but I like it. As you can see dark colors are still what I'm wearing these days. I just want the sun to come out and provide some heat to this city so I can wear pastels and all those good things.
Oh, and by the way, I did wear a blazer over it; like I said, it's still cold.

Are you wearing spring trends yet? Or is your country/city as cold and blah as mine?

Nail of the day #10 - Essie's sparkly nails

You all know I love nail polish and nail of the day posts. Hopefully you like them too. I think they're really fun and helpful because it's always nice to see how a nail polish looks on someone's nails before purchasing it if you're not sure that you're gonna like the color, consistency...

Today's post features two Essie nail polishes: the base color is "Bobbing for baubles" from the 2011 Winter Collection which is a dark navy blue; and on top of that I used "Pure Pearlfection" from the 2011 Luxeffects Collection.

Natural light towards the sun

I did two coats of the first (base) nail polish and just one coat of sparkles.

Natural light with no sun

Please excuse the messiness of my nails, I kind of took the pictures in a rush and it looks weird. Anyway, I love the effect of this glitter nail polish because it's very fine glitter instead of chunky and it gets the color of the nail polish; meaning that if you use it on top of a pink nail polish, the glitter will have pink tones.

OOTD #6 It's still pretty cold here

In this outfit of the day I'm going to show you what I wore yesterday. Like the title of the post says, it's still pretty cold where I live, so I need to wear scarves, gloves and all that not so comfortable stuff.

Also, I don't know if you can tell by the pictures but I cut my hair a little bit. I miss my long hair already, but I know this way my hair is healthier.

Jeans - Forever 21
Over the knee socks - Stradivarius
Boots - Coolway
Top - Zara
Scarf - Zara
Cardigan - H&M
Coat - Stradivarius
Bag - H&M
