High End Makeup Essentials and Must Haves

High End Makeup Essentials and Must Haves
I recently did a video on my favorite high end makeup products, which I consider to be my essentials and must haves, so I thought I would make a post to go along with it (the video is linked below).

These are in no way things you need to buy, but I find myself reaching for them and they're very good quality if you're looking for some new things to try out.

Make Up For Ever HD Foundation: I've repurchased this at least three times before, and it's the first high end foundation I ever tried. They have a very good color range, so it's worth giving it a look if you usually struggle finding a shade that matches. It's water based and it's great if you have oily but dehydrated skin (like me), which is why the sales assistant recommended it to me way before I even knew those two things could come together. I wear the shade 117, and for reference, I also use MAC NC15, Nars Sheer Glow in Gobi, Revlon Nearly Naked in 120.

Benefit Fake Up concealer: it has a light coverage, which is why I don't reach for it most of the time to cover my dark circles (and because of the price tag), but it makes for a great base under any other concealer if you struggle with creasing. It's not good for blemishes, though, so if that's what you're after, try something else. It's very hydrating, and that's one of the things that makes it different.

Too Faced Shadow Insurance primer: as someone with oily skin, I also have to deal with oily eyelids, and this is a life saver for me every time I wear eyeshadow. I couldn't do my makeup without it, and I prefer it to any other one in the market because it's not too greasy (like the Urban Decay one) and you only need the smallest amount.

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette: the Naked 2 is my favorite one in the range because it has cooler tones, and that just work best for my complexion, but all their eyeshadows and palettes are amazing quality and I recommend investing in one if you don't have a go-to palette. The Naked Basics palettes are also amazing, especially for travelling since they're so compact.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Dollface: I don't tend to wear pink blushes that much, but the quality of this range is amazing. I need to pick of more shades next time I'm somewhere where they're sold. They last a long time on your cheeks, maybe not 12 hours as it claims, but it is noticeable when you compare it to other blushes.

Dior Lip Glow balm: not really an essential, but I am obsessed with it! It's basically a pink-toned lip balm that adapts its shade to your natural lip color, but the hydration it provides is beyond compare. I've never tried anything as good as this, which is why it is sooo expensive (and because it's Dior, of course).

What are some of your favorite high end products?

January Beauty Favorites 2014!

As every month, I made a video about my beauty and random favorites! Here I'm just going to show you the beauty part, but if you want to know about the other stuff, the video is going to be linked below.

Benefit Hervana blush: This blush is a staple, at least the color. It gives a very natural look to your face since it's a matte light pink color. It doesn't have any shimmer at all. Also, since it's a bit sheer, you can get it to look as light or dramatic as you'd like.

Benefit The Porefessional: I started using this product this month and I'm in love with it. It makes my pores look like they're a lot smaller, which is always good. The only down side is the price, since it was 32€ here in Spain, but if it lasts a long time (which I don't know yet) then it wouldn't be as bad.

Naked 3 palette by Urban Decay: My favorite part of this palette is the darker half. I find lighter pinks to look a bit weird on me, but these eyeshadows are obviously gorgeous.

Maybelline expression kajal in black: I forgot I even had this eyeliner, but it does a great job.

Bourjois eyeshadow in Citron Givré: This is a light yellow eyeshadow, as you can see in the picture. I use it to lighten up the inner corner of my eye, so it looks like I'm more awake.

December Beauty Favorites 2013!

It's the last day of 2013 and I wanted to share with you my last monthly favorites of the year! I also did a video on this which would be at the end of the post, if you want to check it out.

NYX lip liner in Deep Red: I've been using it with the lipstick I'm showing you here as well. It was very cheap but it's good quality and it maked my lipstick stay all day long, even if I eat and/or drink.

MAC pro longwear concealer: I've been breaking out a bit lately and this covers even the worst things. It's amazing!

Benefit Hello Flawless foundation: a lot of people love it and I can see why. I've been using it for an everyday use instead of my Revlon Nearly Naked lately.

Urban Decay Naked Basics palette: I love this palette so much and I tend to use it everyday just cause it's so handy and easy. Lately I've been liking really light eyeshadow, so the shade Venus is getting some well deserved love.

Maybelline Baby Lips in Pink Wink: it smells like bubble gum!! and who doesn't like a light pink balm?!

Rimmel London Kate matte longlasting lipstick in 107: it's the perfect deep red color. I'm obsessed with it and I think it's perfect for the Holiday time.

NYX matte bronzer in Light: I've never been a bronzer type of girl cause I'm really pale, but this one has a nice color that I can actually wear. I think it compares to the Too Faced milk chocolate bronzer, but it's onle $9!

MAC blush in Pink Swoon: I've rediscovered this blush since it was at the back of the drawer and I totally forgot about it. It looks kind of scary and intimidating but I promise it's not that pink when you swatch it (if you actually want to see that, watch my video).

I hope you all liked my favorites, and I wish you all a very happy new year!!! :)

See you in 2014, xoxo

September 2012 Favorites!

I know it's already October 6th but better late than ever, right? Anyway I wanted to show you my favorite products for the month of September since I did a video on it on my YouTube channel and I want you guys to see it as well.

1. Hervana blush by Benefit: I love pink blushes and this one is no exception. Even though it's a little bit on the pricier side, this blush is amazing and I think everyone who tries it, loves it. If you want to see a picture of what the blush actually looks like, click HERE.
2. EOS lip balm in Strawberry Sorbet: EOS lip balms are very moisturizing and this one smells really good. I sometimes apply it just because I want to smell/taste it.
3. Stay Don't Stray primer by Benefit: This is not only an eyeshadow primer, it also works for concealer, and I'd say it even has a little bit of coverage. I don't love it as much as my Shadow Insurance, but it's amazing!
4. Color Tattoo eyeshadow by Maybelline in On and On Bronze: I know this has a different name in the US but that's what it's called here. Anyway, the pigmentation is amazing and it stays in place a long time.
5. Urban Decay lip gloss in Naked: this came with my Naked 2 palette and I didn't pay much attention to it but I've been loving it recently, I'm even going to get the full size. The color looks kind of clear or nude on your lips but the glossy effect is amazing.

6. Pink body mist by Victoria's Secret: this scent is incredible. I regret getting the travel size instead of the big one because I can't get it in my country, but next time I'm in the US I'm getting the big bottle.
7. Voyage by Hermès: I only have this little sample but I love the smell. When I got it I thought it was a more adult scent, but I'm grown to love it. I don't know if I'd ever get the full size, but it's a great scent.
8. Make an Entrance by China Glaze: I don't know what to say about this, only that it's one of my favorite nail polishes ever.
9. Clean & Clear advantage spot treatment: this doesn't work like it says but I do see improvement on my pimples, so even if it works slow, I think you all should give it a try.

What are your September favorites?

Beauty Haul | Revlon, Essie, Benefit, Tarte & more

These are the products I got on my trip to the United States of America. It's less than what I was expecting to get, but I'm pretty happy with everything.

I know we have Maybelline here, but these are not out yet and since everyone was saying how good they are, I had to get a couple.

Baby lips in "Peppermint" and "Pink Punch"
Then I got a bunch of things from Revlon because we don't have it in Spain, so I was very excited. First I got this Eyeshadow stick in the color "torch" and one of their new quads in "Attitude", which are neutral colors as you can see.

I also got one of their newest Just Bitten Kissable lip stains (I think that's what it's called) in the color "Sweetheart". I really like this product because it has great pigmentation, the color is really pretty and stays for a long time.

Lastly from Revlon I got to of their very famous lip butters.

Lip Butters in "Strawberry shortcake" and "Cotton candy"
From Covergirl I got their lash blast waterproof mascara and a single eyeshadow in the color "French vanilla" that I'm going to use as a highlight because I don't like wasting my "virgin" from the Naked palette.

My most expensive purchases were these three things: 2 blushes and a primer. The first blush is "Hervana" by Benefit and the other one is the Amazonian Clay 12-hour blush in "Dollface" from Tarte. The primer is Too Faced Shadow Insurance (which I actually didn't get while I was there, I got it online).

Because I bought a Benefit blush they gave me these 2 things for free. One is just an eye mask thing that says "beautification in progress" and the other one is a primer sample called "Stay don't stray".

As far as nail polish goes I got 3 but I wanted to get more. Anyway, I didn't want to look like a crazy person and I didn't want my mom to be mad at me, so that's why I only got three.

Essie's "Cute as a button", "Mojito madness" and "Shop till you drop"
Last but not least I got a body mist from the Pink line at Victoria's Secret and another one of the EOS lip balms.

I'm sorry this was pretty long, but hopefully you liked it anyway :)
