This is my first time doing a tutorial and you're going to notice I haven't quite figured out how to set my camera, lighting and all that stuff...yet.
Even though that's not the best, I hope you all still enjoy this fun tutorial I created for New Year's Eve.
1. Apply any eye primer you have. Here I'm using Urban Decay's "Primer Potion"
2. With a flat shader brush, cover your lid with any gold color you have. I'm using "half baked" from the Naked Palette (also by Urban Decay).
3. Apply a darker gold color (or brown if you don't have dark gold) to the outer corner of the eye and the crease. I used "smog" from the Naked Palette.
4. Highlight your brow bone with any highlight color. I used "virgin", also from the Naked Palette but you can find highlight colors everywhere and you can also skip this step if you don't have any.
5. Get a little of gold eyeline under your water line, below your lower lash line to make it pop even more. Here I used NYX slide on, glide on pencil in "glitzy gold".
6. Apply black eyeliner to your water line.
7. Apply your favorite mascara. Mine is the Maybeline Colossal Volume Express waterproof.
8. To finish the look, apply blush (Milani's baked blush in "luminoso") and any lipstick or lipgloss (NYX mega shine lipgloss in "tea rose").
Hey guys! I hope you're having a great time with your family, friends and everyone.
Today I want to show you a few (maybe not so few) things I got during the holidays. Some of them were Christmas presents and some of them I bought for myself. Hope you like it:
First of all I got 2 shower gel bottles from Bath & Body Works; these are "pink sugarplum" and "twisted peppermint", as you can see.
I also got the Urban Decay "all nighter" setting spray because I've been wanting it for a long time. I have to tell you that it is amazing and my make up definitely stays longer when I apply it.
From NYX, first I got 2 of the Tinted Lip Spa, which are like tinted lip balms. These are in the colors "Sake" and "Copacabana".
Two Round Lip Glosses from NYX in "mauve" and "amethyst".
Two Mega Shine Lip Glosses also from NYX in "cosmo" and "Tea Rose".
And lastly from NYX, a color lip balm (cause I wanted to compare it to the lip spa ones) in "Merci", which is a color that I adore.
Then I got 2 things from Milani: first an eyeshadow quad in "desert suedes"...
...and a baked blush in "Luminoso", which I've heard very good things about and it's as good as people say.
I also got another one of the Glitter & Ice eyeshadows from MAC, this time in "Snow season" (and I'm sorry for the poor swatch, but my camera wasn't focusing).
And last but not least, I got a bunch of nail polishes from China Glaze and Essie.
China Glaze: For Audrey, Some Like It Haute, Fifth Avenue, Make An Entrance, Flip Flop Fantasy
This is my first time trying China Glaze and I have to tell you that I'm seriously impressed in a good way!
I don't have this brand where I live so I had to find it online; I thought it was going to be expensive (since everything that's not available in my country comes more expensive online) but I was wrong. It cost me $3.99 + shipping, which I consider fairly cheap.
I expected it to be very sheer and bad quality for that price, but I was proved wrong again.
China Glaze's "Fifth avenue" is a very pretty color and it took me 2 coats for it to be completely opaque, even though you can probably paint just 1 coat and it'll be fine. It comes a little darker than it seems in the bottle but it's gorgeous.
I'm in love with this color!! It's one of my favorite nail polishes ever! I recommend it to you all because it's cheap, good quality and the color is amazing :)
I've seen this tag all over here and YouTube and I've decided to do it, and it's also the first tag that I do (I think). I tag ALL of you that have not done it yet :)
1. Favorite Christmas Movie?
I don't know if I have a favorite, but I like watching all of the Home Alone movies, The Grinch and Barbie in the Nutcracker (or any movie that features the Nutcracker ballet)...
2. Are you on the Naughty list or the Nice list?
On the nice one, of course :)
3. Show us an embarrassing Christmas Card photo!
I'm on the right and my sister's on the left. I was about 6 and this was taken outside of the a department store that is very popular here in Spain. You put your Christmas letter to the Three Wise Men in a mail box and you took a picture with that guy, who was supposed to be one of their helpers. Yeah, pretty horrible, I know...
4. Have you ever had a White Christmas?
Just once, when I was taking my senior year of high school in the US...but I have to admit that I don't like the snow.
5. Where do you usually spend your holiday?
In my hometown.
6. Play or Sing your favorite Christmas Song!
I'm not a huge fan of Christmas music, but....
7. Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?
No, we open them the morning of the 25th and January 6th, following Spain's tradition of the 3 wise men (Los Reyes Magos).
8. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer?
I only know Rudolph :/
9. What holiday tradition are you looking forward to most this year?
I'm just excited to hang out with my friends instead of going to class haha
10. Is your Christmas tree real or fake?
Fake.
11. Hands down, what's your all-time favorite holiday food and holiday sweet treat?
Turrón, which is typical here in Spain. It's just like a sweet soft or hard tablet with different flavors...I don't know how to explain it, so I'm just posting this picture of one of my favorite ones.
12. Be Honest: do you like giving gifts or receiving gifts better?
I'm not gonna lie, I like receiving them better.
13. Show us your tackiest Christmas attire (ex: Ugly Sweater)
I've never had any sort of Christmas sweater, tee, dress or anything...Am I that weird?
14. What would be your dream place to visit for the holiday season?
New York City! It has to be very pretty this time of the year
15. Does your family have a special holiday recipe you like to help make?
We don't have anything special.
16. Are you a pro-present wrapper, or do you fail miserably?
I'm a pro. I love wrapping presents :)
17. Most memorable Holiday moment?
I guess when I was a kid because I got really excited when I saw all the presents below the Christmas tree and I remember that as a very happy moment every year.
18. What made you realize the truth about Santa?
I don't remember the specific moment but I guess someone at school must have told me.
19. Do you make New Years Resolutions? Do you stick to them?
I always make a couple of them but I never stick to them.
20. What makes the Holidays special for you?
Seeing all my friends and all the Christmas lights and decorations on the streets. (these are last year's)
I've been wanting to get some of the products from MAC's winter collection Glitter & Ice but I didn't get a chance until a couple days ago and I only got 1 thing cause my mom wants to get me something more from the collection (I gave her a list of the items I like) for Christmas.
So I got Winterized:
As you can see the package is white instead of the usual black and it came in a very cute silvery-Christmas bag (that I'm keeping).
I really like the color and I'll probably wear it to a party on Christmas Eve or to go to dinner with friends if we decide to dress up a little more. It's very pigmented, of course and it has a little bit of fine glitter if you look close at it of it the light hits it.
I'm really looking forward to get more from the collection even though my mom has to hurry cause there's only a few things left and you may have to reserve the products that you're looking for.
I went to see Breaking Dawn Part 1 a couple of days ago and I was going to post this maybe a day after but I got sick and I haven't been able to do it until now. It's getting colder and colder where I live but that day wasn't as bad so I decided to wear a blazer instead of a coat (I have to say that I have a cardigan underneath the blazer and I'm always hot, so it was actually pretty cold that night: around 3ºC or 4ºC).
Here's what I wore (excuse my cat eating in the background haha):
Blazer - Zara
tshirt - H&M
white tank top - Zara
Jeans - Forever 21
Boots - Marypaz
Necklace - Marc Jacobs
Also I wanted to show you what my hair looked like from the back right after I curled it, cause my hair doesn't hold curls very long even if I use a ton of hairspray. The photos above were taken about 20 minutes after the one I'm about to show you and you can tell the difference in my hair already (I hate my hair so much, ugh)
Have you seen Breaking Dawn? Do you guys like the twilight saga? :)
November is now gone and I was hesitant to do this post but since I've been missing a little bit I decided to do it anyway.
This month I haven't been wearing as much make up for some reason and I haven't tried that many new things that I've liked, but I still have my favorites :)
Here they are:
1. MAC lipstick in "cream cup"
I absolutely adore this lipstick! It's pink but it feels a little nude at the same time, and of course the quality is amazing.
2. Clinique eyeshadow duo in "victorian pink"
I've had this duo for as long as I can remember but it was a little forgotten in the drawer, until this month. It's neutral but gives a little bit of shine with the lighter color; i really like it.
3. Nubar nail polish in "brilliant"
I haven't done a nail post on this yet, but it will be coming up soon since it's been my favorite nail polish this month. In real life looks lighter than it does in the picture and it has very small glitter in the nail polish that cover the whole nail. I don't know how to describe it, but it's very pretty :)
4. Vitamin Schtick lipbalm
I don't know if any of you has ever heard of this but I saw it once and bought it. I actually have 2 of them but this one in "focus" is my fave. As you can see in the picture, the flavor is kiwi and strawberry. It tastes/smells amazing! and it's also a very good size since it's 8.5cm long and 2cm diameter wide.
5. (non beauty) Gum
I know this is not a beauty product but I'm obsessed with gum and thought you all should know haha :)
