Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water | Review

garnier micellar cleansing water

This review comes in pretty late since everyone has already talked about it and tried it, but I still wanted to do it. I've never tried Bioderma so I don't know if this is a dupe or not, but I know one thing: this is amazing!

I remove my makeup with makeup wipes and waterproof eye makeup remover, and I follow up with this Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water. I put a little on two cotton pads and that's enough for my whole face. I always thought my makeup wipes did a great job at removing my makeup, but this product proves me wrong: the cotton pads come out pretty dirty, but after one swipe I don't need any more.

It is supposed to remove your makeup, cleans and tone, all in one, so you might want to try that out. I don't use it as an all in one product because I like to use water resistant makeup for my eyes and because my foundation is usually pretty heavy/thick; but if you use light makeup, it might work for you.

The bottle comes with 400 ml of product, which is a lot. I always feel like I'm putting too much on the cotton pads, but I'm not even half way through and I've been using it for months! If you haven't tried it yet, you should give it a go.

How much is my face worth?

I've been seeing this post all over blogger and thought it was very interesting and fun to do, so I decided to do it myself.  It basically consists on listing all the products you use on your face on a daily basis to do your make up and add up the prices to see "how much is your face worth".

I just want to say that some products may be different every day like blush, lipstick, lipgloss and/or eyeshadow, but I tried to pick middle-priced items. Also, prices here are more expensive, so if you but these things somewhere else, it'd be different.

  • Pond's "equilibrian-t" moisturizer - 19€ (Actually my mom bought this for me and she doesn't remember the exact price but she said around 18-20€)
  • Make up for ever HD foundation - 38€
  • Dream matte powder by Maybelline - 11€
  • Garnier dark circle roll on - 8.50€
  • Maybelline pure mineral concealer - 7.50€
  • Too faced shadow insurance - 22.15€
  • Urban Decay Naked palette - 38€ (at the time I bought it)
  • NYX slide on eyeliner - 6.20€
  • Maybelline colossal volume express mascara - 11€
  • MAC blush - 22€
  • Maybelline lipstick - 10€
  • NYX round lip gloss - 2€
  • Urban Decay all nighter spray - 18€
19+38+11+8.5+7.5+22.15+38+6.20+11+22+10+2+18= 213.35€

213.35€ is a lot of money for every day make up, but obviously these products last a long time and you don't need to replace most of them in a really long time.

7 Deadly Sins of Beauty

I've seen this tag all around YouTube and on blogs too, so last week I decided to film it for my youtube channel and I thought I'd be nice to do a post here too so all of you can also see my answers :)

1. GREED: What is your most inexpensive beauty item? I chose my Elf Hypershine Gloss, which were around 1.50€ each (I don't remember the exact price). These are not the best of quality since they're pretty sticky, but if I only apply a little I don't mind.

What is your most expensive? That's my Urban Decay Naked Palette that I believe I got for 40€ aprox. I'm sure all of you have heard of it and probably own it, so there's no need to say how amazing it is.

2. WRATH: What beauty products do you have a love/hate relationship with? For me that's BB Creams and primer. I like the idea of BB creams but the one I have, which is the Garnier one, is a little bit oily for me and also, even though I got the light one, it's a bit dark for my skin tone. And I like primer, but I hate to wait till it dries even if it only takes 10 seconds because I'm always rushing in the morning.

3. GLUTTONY: What are your most delicious beauty products? I chose two: my EOS lipbalm in Lemon Drop because it smells like lemon but in a sweet way (one of my friends tells me that she wants to eat it every time she smells it); and my NYX soft matte lip cream in the color Tokyo because it smells like a combination of cupcake frosting and cotton candy.

4. SLOTH: What beauty product do you neglect, due to laziness? That has to be primer. Like I said, I'm always in a rush and I never take the time to apply it. I know it can make a difference, but I don't want to be late to class, and I don't have much patience either.

5. PRIDE: What beauty product gives you the most self confidence? Again I'm choosing two, this time because I think I need to use both together: foundation and concealer. No one likes to have bad skin and I feel like if you see that you're skin looks nice, then you feel a little bit better about yourself, at least I do.

Maybelline super stay 24 hours foundation (in Cameo) and Pure Cover Mineral Concealer (in Sand)
6. LUST: What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex? Physically I like guys who are taller than me (I'm 5'7" - 1.70m) who have a nice smile. Also I love blue eyes, but I also like guys with green and brown eyes. Also I like guys who like to have fun, have a nice sense of humor and are smart. Do I ask for too much? haha

7. ENVY: What items would you most like to receive as a gift? If I know pretty well the person who's giving me the gift, then I'm probably going to like whatever it is; but if I don't know that person too much or they don't know what I like, then I find gifts a little bit awkward. Overall, I like to get things from people who know what I like or things that I have asked for (obviously I only ask my parents and sister for specific stuff).

October 2011 Favorites!

Another month has passed and that means one thing: it's time for my favorites post :)
I love trying new things every month but here are a few that I've been using for a while (except the 3rd one, which I got to try out this month...since it's new)

1. Naked Palette by Urban Decay

I know everyone has it and everyone says how amazing it is. But in fact, it is as amazing as everyone says. I've been using it a lot this month and I just can't get over how many different color combinations and looks you can get with just one palette. It's also a little expensive (I paid 37€ for it online) but I think it's totally worth it! (and yes, I haven't taken off the plastic from the mirror yet... and I'm not planning on it lol)

2. Bourjois eyeshadow in "Citron Givré"

It's limited edition and I bought it from asos.com (I don't know if it's still available). Yeah,  it's yellow but I don't use it as a regular eyeshadow. I only use it to brighten up my inner corner and I feel like it makes my eyes pop more than using just a plain white eyeshadow.

3. BB Cream by Garnier

It doesn't do what it claims to do but it is a great moisturizer. I have oily skin and this doesn't make my face greasy at all. It also gives a little bit of color, but in my opinion it's not enough, so I still have to use foundation.  I just use it for the moisture part. It's also fairly cheap (around 7€ in my country), so I don't feel like I should complain.

4. Elf blush in "Tickled Pink"

It gives a very natural look to my cheeks and it's perfect for every day use since it's not heavy but you can definitely see that it's there.

5. NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in "Tokyo"

I love everything about it: smell, color, price, texture...This shade it's a very pretty light pink that makes my lips almost nude but with a hint of pink. You can read the tube for yourself haha

ps: HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! :D

Garnier Anti-Dark Circles Roller REVIEW!

So today I'm gonna tell you about the Garnier Anti-Dark Circles Roller. First of all I wanna say that I've been looking for it for a long time and last week I ran into it and bought it right away.
It is a great product, in my opinion.

It's supposed to reduce your under eye circles because it contains caffeine and the roller is made out of metal (or at least it looks like it) and it's cold. I've only been using it for a couple of days, so obviously my dark circles are still there. But, as it is tinted, it works as a concealer too and it does a great job.

  • Shade: I have very light skin and I was kinda worried about it cause the box said from light to dark, and I though that it was gonna be dark for me; but the truth is that it blends out very well and works great for my skin tone.
  • Size: it comes with 15ml of product, so I think it's gonna last for a long time.
  • Price: i don't remember the exact price; since I wanted it for so long, I didn't even look at it. But it's not pricey, if you're wondering. You have to think that it is a 2 in 1, so comparing it to a regular concealer, it's cheap.
