Naked Basics palette by Urban Decay | Review + swatches

I finally did it. For the longest time I didn't want to buy this palette cause I have the original Naked and the Naked 2 and I didn't think I needed it (which I probably don't anyway lol), but after seeing everyone get it and fall in love with it I had to.
As some of you may know, it comes with six neutral eyeshadows, five of them being matte. It's also pretty small so it's perfect for travelling and, surprisingly, you can create a lot of different looks with it.

The packaging is gorgeous as you can see; it feels very expensive and nice. Like I said, it's also pretty compact and small and it uses space wisely (it doesn't have many empty space to make it bulkier).

The shadows are amazing and different enough from each other and from the other Naked palettes (except foxy, which also came in the Naked 2). Venus is the only shimmery color, the rest are matte.

Since I couldn't capture the colors in the light/way I wanted to, here are two different photos so you can judge for yourself.

Overall, I recommend this palette to all of you, specially if you like wearing neutral colors and/or don't have many other; but even if you do you're going to enjoy it. Urban Decay eyeshadows are great quality, so it's no surprise everyones loves this palette as much as I do.

Weekly photos #19, #20 and #21

Today I'm doing a combination of these past three weeks because I was away from home for the first one and a half week, then I went to London for more than a week and I also have to do this week.

First of all, I went to the beach here in Spain as you were able to see in my last outfit of the day post and I had fun even though I went with my parents and my sister.

1. My parents and I love octopus...and I know it might me weird for some of you but it's typical to eat it here and it's also delicious.
2. We rented an apartment which was right at the beach. We just had to use the stairs that end up in the sand, so that's pretty cool.
3. I had this candy ice cream that was the best thing I've ever had; it was like eating candy but cold and creamy.
4. We also got a box of chocolates for the 4 of us but since I left early cause I was going to London I only got to eat 4 or 5...that made me sad cause there were so many (the box had 3 levels).

5, 6, 7. Before I left my parents took me to Valencia (my sister didn't want to come) to a huge aquarium and then my mom took me to a science museum, because I love science, next to that (my father likes the animals better so he stayed at the aquarium which also had other animals).
8. Then I took the train home so I could unpack and pack again...crazy times!

As you know I'm making a series with pictures from my trip to London but I also wanted to include ones here that are not in those posts because I took them with my phone.

 9. That's at Gatwick airport, the moment we realized "we are in England" haha.
10. Louis Viutton window in Oxford Street.
11. Big Ben at night. It took me forever to get a nice picture of it with my DSLR camera; I was standing there trying all the different things and stuff until I got a nice one...success!!
12. London Eye from the opposite side of the river.

13. I love double deckers. It's so fun to go on the top part; you guys should try it if you ever go to London :)
14. We, of course, went to Milkshake City just to try the One Direction milkshake. It tastes like cookies (kind of) and the little blue balls are like gum...pretty yummy!
15. The Harry Potter studio tour is the best thing if you like Harry Potter. We had so much fun looking at all their props, costumes, and taking pictures everywhere. We even got to try butterbeer (which is also delicious if you ask me) haha.
16. I didn't do that much shopping but I did get some great stuff. Anyway, that's a photo of the huge Topshop in Oxford Street...they even have maps so you don't get lost!

Outfit of the day | Beach time!

First of all I want to tell you that right now; well actually when you read this, I'm going to be in London! That's why I'm not going to have as many posts up until the 30th-ish. I apologize for that but I'm trying to schedule some so at least I have something up.

I went to the beach with my family and I initially wanted to show you what I wore each day, but since it was all pretty casual I decided not to. Anyway, I still have a couple outfits to show you and this is one of them.

Tank top - Zara
Top - Forever 21
Shorts - Missguided
Hat - H&M
Bracelets - H&M
Necklace - Marc Jacobs

Outfit of the day at a castle

As I promised last Sunday on my weekly photos post, I went to a castle (although it was closed) and I got some pictures from the outside. I didn't just want to randomly post photos of a castle, so I kind of wanted it to be an outfit post. The thing is, my sister was taking the photos and she doesn't really know what an outfit post looks like, so here's what I got:

Tank top - Zara
Top - H&M
Shorts - Forever 21
Sandals - Forever 21
Bag - Lefties
Sunglasses - Topshop

Weekly photos #18

I'm not at home, again. It seems like I'm going everywhere this summer, even though I'm still in the country. So I don't have many pictures to show you because I've been packing, coming here, and also (I have to admit) I've been a little lazy lately.

Anyway, here are some pictures from my trip:

1 & 3. These are actually from the same outfit. I didn't want to wear the hat on the train but I might go to the beach (so I wanted to take it) and it wouldn't fit in the suitcase. I'm also in love with those 3 bracelets; the cross one is from ASOS and the other two from H&M.
2. I took a train to come to my current location and that's the train station we have in Madrid. Actually there's two of them, but that's the most popular one (and prettier one).
4. This is just the view from the train. Middle-south Spain in the summer time: very self explanatory.

Hopefully I'm going to visit some castles and places over here this week and I can show you that next Sunday, or I might do a whole different post if I find it interesting enough.

Have a nice Sunday!

Weekly photos #17

I'm really sorry I haven't been posting as much lately but I promise I have a lot of posts ready for you guys. Anyway, this week has been pretty fun for me since I've been seeing all of my friends and that makes me happy.

1 & 2. I went to a park here in Madrid called Retiro with my friends. We love to go there because it's a little bit less hot than the rest of the city because of all the trees and plants. We just like to sit on the grass and talk for hours. We also took some pictures.
3. I've been watching the Olympics and basketball games make me so tense. Spain's team is really good in my opinion but there are some moments in which I just want to scream at the tv haha. ps: my cat likes to block my view by laying down on the table.
4. Salad is my favorite food, I think I've mentioned it a million times already, but still :)

5. Starbucks is my guilty pleasure.
6. Another picture of my cat. She's like my baby and I hold her like one.
7. That's me after filming my July favorites the other day.
8. Tea is another passion of mine. Did I have another picture of iced tea last week?

Weekly photos #11

I finished my exams!! yay! I'm so happy I have nothing to do (college related) and I actually have time to be bored :) This week I go back to showing you 8 photos instead of 4, and I think that's more fun.
By the way, I don't know if I've mentioned it before but I'm going to the United States of America in a few days and I'll be staying there for 2 weeks, which is really exciting, but I'm still going to be posting.

1. If you're from Europe you probably know about this European soccer Cup, but if you're not, it's just a soccer competition between European countries and my country (Spain) is pretty close to winning :D
2. I went to Starbucks, again, and got a frappuccino and a couple of their big cookies, yum!
3. Salad is my favorite food and I think I eat one per day. It's just a great side to my meals.
4. If you don't know, I made a YouTube channel a few months back and this week I've been filming a Outfits of the Week video...that on the picture is what I wore last friday.

5. I went shopping (I know, shocker haha) mainly because I needed some things to take to the states and then I just got a few things that I liked. I'll be posting a haul soon but if you really want to know what I got, I posted a video that you can check out HERE.
6. I tried sushi for the first time. I'm not sure if I liked it or not, because it didn't have much flavor, but it was not as bad as I was expecting it to be.
7. My sister was jealous of me going to the states so she went to Canada. This is actually true, but she's just going to take some english classes and then she'll go sightseeing and all of that fun stuff.
8. Ok, so I think my eyes are closed and I look pretty weird, but hey! I'm standing next to a huge penguin! haha

Highlights from the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Madrid

The Mercedes Benz Fashion Week was held in Madrid from February 1st to February 5th. It showcased the Pret-A-Porter (Ready To Wear) fashion created by Spanish designers for Fall/Winter 2012/2013.

Five days full of amazing fashion and backstage craziness. Even though I was not able to attend, I did my research on it, seeing every single collection and a variety of backstage videos that offered interesting material.

I'd love to show you everything but since that would be way too long, I'm going to show you what I liked the most from my favorite designers and collections.

Jesús del Pozo: this was the designer's first collection after his passing last year. I loved his work so much and the firm is still true to what it was before, so I really liked it.

María Escoté: I loved the neon colors and I though most of the garments were actually really cute, and I'd wear them (if I had the money to buy them). That's really important because it IS ready to wear. It is overall a really cute and fun collection.

Roberto Verino: this collection was very daring even though it was all neutral colors. The way the garments are constructed is really complex and it gave it an edge.

Juana Martin: I don't follow her work but this collection caught my eye. It is elegant but in a fun way. I like how she used a bright pink and made it sophisticated.

Devota & Lomba: I liked the use of jackets since it is a fall/winter collection. Sometimes jackets can ruin an outfit (or at least that's what I think) but this collection is an example of how a jacket can be the key to fabulous.

AA by Amaya Arzuaga: all I can say is: I don't know why, but it works.

Miguel Palacio: his collection has both classic and modern elements. I think it is a very beautiful collection and I would also wear most of the clothes from it (again, if I had the money). It is one of my favorites.

What do you think about these?
Did you know any of these Spanish designers?
