Outfits of the Week | September 2014

A few days ago I posted an Outfits of the Week video on my YouTube channel and everyone seems to be liking it a lot, which makes me really happy! I love making these videos and they take longer to edit, so it's nice to know people appreciate them.

Anyway, I wanted to share it with all of you as well. You can click here for the link, or watch it below.

Nail of the day - Flamingo Coral

This is the nail polish I got at Topshop while I was in London and obviously it had to be a pink color, since I'm obsessed. This one reminds me of "Rose Libertine" by Rimmel but it is a little bit more light and vibrant.

It's called "Flamingo Coral" and this is what it looks like under natural light:

It applies very thick which I think is nice because you could get away with just one coat, even though I did two just in case.

Do you own any Topshop nail polishes? Which one is your favorite?

My trip to London | Part 1

As you may or may not know I recently traveled to London for a little bit more than a week with one of my best friends (the blonde one) and her sister. This was my first time there and I'm in love with the city. It's very crowded but you can definitely enjoy it anyway.

When we arrived we decided to visit the most popular places such as the Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square, London Eye and surrounding areas.

As you can see it was a very cloudy day which is not very nice for pictures, but at least it didn't rain (that day).

I'm going to have a few more posts showing you what I've seen and done in London and, of course, I'll be posting a haul with what I bought (which wasn't much, surprisingly).

xoxo

Coming up: British Museum, walking around, M&M World, Harry Potter studio tour, parks, Sherlock Holmes museum, Portobello Road, Buckingham Palace.

Outfit of the day | Beach time!

First of all I want to tell you that right now; well actually when you read this, I'm going to be in London! That's why I'm not going to have as many posts up until the 30th-ish. I apologize for that but I'm trying to schedule some so at least I have something up.

I went to the beach with my family and I initially wanted to show you what I wore each day, but since it was all pretty casual I decided not to. Anyway, I still have a couple outfits to show you and this is one of them.

Tank top - Zara
Top - Forever 21
Shorts - Missguided
Hat - H&M
Bracelets - H&M
Necklace - Marc Jacobs

Weekly photos #16

Don't you guys get really bored in summer when you're in your city? I do. I can't find things to do when I'm at home; the only thing is going shopping, and as much as I love it, it's no good.

1. I got sick this week. I randomly got a fever; I really don't know why it happened, but it went away in a day, so that was nice.
2. When I don't know what to do I find myself organizing or cleaning my room. This week I organized my make up drawers because I just had everything everywhere; it was chaos.
3. It's always nice to see the streets almost empty in summer around lunch time. It's weird, but it feels like the city is mine in a way...do you know what I mean or am I just crazy?
4. They opened a frozen yogurt place really close to my house! I'm so excited!

5. I went to the store and saw that they had the Maybelline color tattoo creme eyeshadows so I picked one up. I have to say that I really like it and I think I'm gonna go back and get another one.
6. Iced tea in summer is pretty much the best thing. I love hot tea, but I feel like it's too much right now, so I just add a few ice cubes and make it iced tea. Favorite thing to drink.
7. As you all probably know, the olympic games have begun and I watched the opening ceremony and, personally, liked it (nothing to do with the fact that JK Rowling was there, as well as a huge Lord Voldemort).
8. I went and saw The Dark Knight Rises today. Actually I just came back from the movie theater and it was AMAZING! I think you all should see it if you haven't already. Anyway, the subway was pretty much empty, so I took a picture there. (I know, I'm weird).

Nail of the day - Mojito Madness

As you can guess from the title, today I'm showing you "Mojito madness" by Essie, which is a color that came out in their 2012 summer collection.

You can get this color at beauty.com here, at Target here or at Nordstrom here.
I'm not usually a person who goes for out-there colors, but I think this green is fun for summer and it's always nice to change it up a little bit.

Weekly photos #15

This week started out a little crazy because I was a bit jet lagged and I felt like sleeping all the time. Once that was over, my life went back to normal; to boring normal.

1. You all know I love downtown because I've posted a few pictures before, but it's probably my favorite part of Madrid (Gran Via street), so I go there quite often when I'm bored.
2. Doesn't this pizza look amazing? It's just one of those frozen ones that you put in the oven for a while and it's done, but it was pretty yummy so I thought I'd share :P
3. What I hate the most about summer is the heat. That's my alarm clock behind my bed telling me that it was 30ºC inside my room at night. Yes guys, I feel like I'm going to die.
4. I was excited to come back home so I could make some more videos. As you may or may not know, I have a youtube account and I really like making videos: the creativity, filming, editing...I love it all.

Now my life is going to be this and hanging out with friends every once in a while until August 21st, when I go to London!! :) I'm really excited and if any of you are going to be there by that time, please tell me because I'd really like to meet you.

Nail of the day - Neon party

"Flip Flop Fantasy" by China Glaze is the perfect nail polish color for this summer. I was very impressed with the color itself because I thought it was going to look worse on the nails than the color you can see on the bottle, but I was wrong. The color is the same: neon coral.

Depending on the light it can look either orange, pink or coral; but I think this last one is its real color because it's the one you see most of the time with natural lighting.

I was surprised again when I painted the first nail and saw it was matte. A friend told me that all neon nail polishes are matte the other day, but I didn't know it when I was painting them. If you like matte nails then you're going to love this nail polish but if you prefer glossy nails, you can always apply a top coat.

You can get it HERE!

Summer Haul

I want to show you a few things I got over these past 2 weeks, but first of all I'm going to show you the bag I got at Zara that I said I was going to show a long time ago.

I love this bag so much! I think the studs make it even better.

You can also wear it with the sides sticking out, but I think that looks weird (even though that's how they had it in the store).

Now that I've showed you that, let's keep going with what I got recently. From Lefties:

You guys know I love bows!

This is a cool top because it has neon pink and I also love the flamingos kind of fading color.

I've been looking for a dress like this for a long time and I'm so happy I found it

Then from Stradivarius I got this denim jacket

And also a wallet that has a ton of space

Then I went to Blanco and got 2 things. First I got this clutch that I'm using as a laptop case for my 11" one

And second, this orange/coral flowy top

Last but not least I went to Kiko because my sister wanted a nail polish but I saw this and had to get it, just so I could show it to you guys. I thought it was pretty close to Chanel's Peridot, and I'm going to be doing a nail of the day so you can see. Keep in mind that it was 3.5€ instead of the 25€ that Chanel nail polishes cost.

Nail of the day - Sparkly sea

Lately I've been naming my nail of the day posts because it seems more fun than just including the name of the nail polish in the title. I named it Sparkly Sea because that's what it reminds me of: a beach with clear blue water that sparkles with the sun light.

I used China Glaze's "For Audrey" as a base color and then Essie's "Pure Pearlfection" on top.

1 coat of the Essie nail polish

2 coats of the China Glaze nail polish

Pink Swoon by MAC: review + swatch

I have another MAC blush review for all you you today. I love blush and I feel like I can never have enough (I actually don't have that many) because they're all so unique and different, even if the difference is really small.

This blush is Pink Swoon by MAC and I would say it's a perfect pink color for your cheeks.

MAC blushes are really amazing quality and I recommend them to all of you. Just go to your MAC store or counter and swatch a bunch of them, because they are really pretty.

They are a bit expensive if you think about it (prices are different in every country but I believe it cost me around 20€) but totally worth the money. As you can see the package is really good. Little story here: I held this blush in one hand and my NYX creme blush, which looks really similar, on the other hand and that's when I really noticed the difference. This one is more heavy and the material feels nicer. You may think it's kind of stupid but I think it's important.

The color looks brighter in the package than it does once it's swatched or on your cheeks. When you apply it, it looks light pink instead of a really colorful, bright pink.

Here are two swatches on my arm so you get the idea of the color it would have once you apply it on your skin.

Outfit of the day - H&M love

I have a ton of things that I want to show you this week; hopefully I'll be able to upload them all, but if I don't have time, they'll be up by next week: I have 3 reviews (2 make up and 1 perfume), a haul, a tutorial, and probably an update on my hair. Ok, I just realized I don't have time for all of them this week.

But today I'm doing a quick and fun outfit of the day :) Again, I wore this to class to take a final. As you can see, I'm still wearing full length jeans even though I said I was going to wear shorts. You'll be seeing some shorts on my next one, I promise.

Top - H&M
Jeggings - Stradivarius
Flats - Stradivarius

Watch - Swatch (like 4 years ago lol)
Peach/orange bracelet - H&M
Pyramid (ish) bangle - H&M

I realized a lot of things were from H&M and I go there every week now. I know, I'm crazy. That's the reason behind the title of the post :)

Launch Away! by MAC: review + swatch

I went to MAC the other day because I wanted to get this blush. I've been seeing the Hey Sailor! collection all around blogger and youtube and I wanted to get something so I went online to see what they had and loved everything! So that was a problem, but when I went to the actual store, I fell in love with this blush.

First of all, the packaging is really cute, and that's always nice when you're trying to see what you like; and it goes pretty well with the sailor theme of the collection.

I'd say the color of the blush is a light peach. It really is light and it's also kind of sheer, so you actually have to apply quite a bit of product to see its real color. Even though, when you're wearing it, it can look light pink.

Here's a swatch on my arm. As you can tell it's really hard to see but it gives my face a nice glow. It might look better on darker skin tones because it would stand out more.

Did you get anything from this collection?

Outfit of the day :)

I don't have much time to post creative stuff but I still want to post, so I thought an outfit of the day would be fun. It's simple to make and at the same time I think it's really fun and interesting because it allows you guys to see my style and how to create different outfits with different pieces (cause you may have similar stuff to what I do).

I wore this on tuesday (so yesterday) to one of my finals. It's pretty warm now but I felt like shorts would have been a little inappropriate even though everyone wears them. I was pretty much sweating while the exam was going on, so I'm definitely going to wear shorts or a skirt to my next one haha

Top - Zara
Jeans - Forever 21
Sandals - H&M
Necklace - Marc by Marc Jacobs
White bracelet - H&M
Bag - Misako (store here in Spain)
